The Museum of Copenhagen is the museum of the capital’s past, present and future.

The museum contributes to the city’s contemporary themes and to the dissemination of the city’s changeability and diversity. The museum has the overall archaeological responsibility for Copenhagen and Frederiksberg.

The Museum of Copenhagen is also the museum that tells the story of the city as a stage for diverse cultural meetings and communities. The museum involves the audience and communicates by traditional means such as exhibitions, tours, teaching and city walks. In addition the museum is active on various digital and social platforms.

Summer 2019 a brand new Museum of Copenhagen will open in Stormgade near City Hall – until then the museum is closed.
